| On Thursday, April 2nd, Clean Air Pomona celebrated the first day of smoke-free parks and city facilities at Martin Luther King Park! Around 50 community residents attended our afternoon event, complete with freshly made chicken yucatan tacos, water balloons, and a pinata. It was a beautiful opportunity for CAP to highlight our amazing youth who have worked hard for the past 3 years to achieve this step towards a healthier, cleaner city. Also present were Councilmembers Debra Martin and Adriana Robledo, as well as PUSD School Board member Frank Guzman, all of whom helped make this happen. Thank you to all who have supported CAP throughout the years. Achieving a smoke-free parks and city facilities ordinance was truly a community-driven effort and we were happy to celebrate with everyone! |
